Thankful!

No words can really describe how I feel this Thanksgiving. But a picture certainly can...
I am SO THANKFUL for Nathaniel's safe return last Sunday, after a 7-month deployment to Afghanistan. A lot of stuff happened during this deployment - on both ends. We've both lived a lot of life and our perspective and views of the world have definitely changed.

We are so grateful for the time we have together, our family and friends (and my doctors), and the opportunity to enjoy the life we live.

Welcome home Sweetheart - I am so thankful for you!

The two of us are so thankful for the two of you.
Whatever nightmares, whatever changes, whatever challenges you each have, become less troubling and isolating as you begin to share your lives together again. Much Love to you both!

I love it! Yes, much to be thankful for this year. Great pic too.

Side note - read about shitty kitty. Our dogs have never been healthier since we removed grain from their diet, using EVO and Orajen (I'm sure they have cat versions too). Anyway, they actually smell better and the old man HAD male patterned baldness (on a dog, I know, weird) BUT since the change, his hair grew back.

Hey Marit, I just hope you've had a wonderful christmas and have a good start into the next year. Which will hopefully be one without any medical scares.

In any case, I just had to think of you when I listened to Robb Wolfs podcast. He talked about how diet influences autoimmune desease and that paleo eating helps to control those and he also mentioned lupus beside others. I think it was podcast 5 or 6, you get those for free at iTunes. Just wanted to tell, in case you are interested.

Have a great New Years Eve and a fantastic 2011!!

do i take a motor insurance firm to small claims court? The insurance company refused my claim, (I would take the at fault driver to small claims sadly I have no address to serve them or send a demand letter). And the second driver was at fault but their insurer says there can be a difference with our claims to make sure they have to take the word of their insured vs. my word. It looks like they acted in lousy faith and did not carry out a proper investigation would this be a valid claim in small claims court? I would like to use the at fault drivers insurance provider (not my own) to small claims for any damages to my car.

I have been away from your blog for a bit. I just saw you were diagnosed with lupus. What the heck? I know there are varying extremes to this disease.

You don't know me, my name is Steve as my comment will attest to. :)

Good luck to you and your family. I will follow along. You are a strong lady. That much I know. Some things you can just tell. :)

I will follow along on your journey now. I am sorry today is a lot different looking than one year ago. One thing I know about you though from reading previously, is you will always have a days of sunlight appear after you go through a tough time.

Make sure you use sunblock though on those days of sunlight. From what I gather you need that with Lupus. :)

Good Luck Marit!! with everything.

We had someone at work just diagnosed with Lupus too, so I see it can be tough.

Once a blog gets spammed like this one and the blogger doesn't do anything about it, it's dead. Hey Marit, it was nice reading about your life. HOpe you are well and happy. It would be nice though if you said goodbye to the people here.

I’m not going to say what everyone else has already said, but I do want to comment on your knowledge of the topic. You’re truly well-informed. I can’t believe how much of this I just wasn’t aware of. Thank you for bringing more information to this topic for me. I’m truly grateful and really impressed.
