A few days ago, Nathaniel and I walked into the living room, only to see Tabbitha in this position.
What???
How was this possible?
That was our question.
But the proof is in the pudding, so to speak.
And it is just so wrong.
So in addition to attacking our friends, hunting down toy mice, bird watching, eating her 2 X 1/3 cup of food per day (remember: she's on a d-i-e-t!), taking over the Ugly Green Recliner, and launching sneak attacks from behind strategically placed furniture, our House Monster, er cat, has developed the abilitiy to sit up (on herself).
This is just so wrong.
Does anyone else out there have a cat who does this? We'd like to know...

Lily...I refer to it as her Buddha pose:) See pic on my blog of Lily and the man.
I have a black lab, his name is Tiger but we call him Moose (he weighs 120.5 pounds). He does the same thing but, seeing as he is so BIG, he looks like a human sitting up on the couch! He usually has his head turned over the back of the couch in this position.

haha!! I love it!!!
Rufus used to do the exact same thing! This must be something that "large boned" cats do. Remember though...our cat thought he was a dog because he imprinted on the dog. (never knew he was a cat)
You know you have an animal (or in our case animals - Max and Rufus) with good character when your vet cries when they pass away.
She must have great core strength :)
Oh. My. Gosh. This is PRECIOUS!!! And funny! And cute! And, just so wrong as you said! Hee hee.
I'm one of Elizabeth's athletes and have been lurking for quite awhile, since way before your crash. Your recovery attitude is remarkable.
And, as "mom" to six pets I totally appreciate that you posted this picture, as well as all of your other musings about the House Monster.
Keep up all the good work and great posts. Best Wishes, Stef
Oh.. My... God..... WHERE ARE MY DEPENDS? I'm peeing my pants!!!!
Yep. Clara (who should have been named "Sybill") sits in what we call her "Jabba the Hut" pose all the time. She seems to prefer sitting up to any other position. And she's a pretty petite cat. Wish I had a pic I could link to...
How adorable is THAT!! Don't let her lose too much weight... I'm a big fan of the fat cat or dog! :)
And I am SOOO happy to hear that you're getting in some quality workouts and feeling so much better with it.
I TOTALLY agree with you on the eating healthier, feeling better, and everything when it comes to those endorphin rushing workouts! Go get 'em girl!! :)
please tell tabbitha that charlie says she has a beautiful smile.
I vote for Sumo Wrestler! My kitten Martha sits like that, especially when she licks her belly, but she only weighs 8lbs, not 18!
