It's official!
WE'LL BE LIVING IN SAN DIEGO AND NATHANIEL IS FLYING THE UH-1Y "Venom" HUEY!!!
He is over the moon about his helicopter. And I'm over the moon about where we'll be living!
For the first time, he'll be doing exactly what he wants and we'll be living exactly where we want to live! Not that there's anything wrong with Jacksonville, NC. But given the two - (and bear in mind that we've already lived in Eastern NC), we were hoping for Sunny So Cal.
We're still in a bit of shock over it all... He'll be getting winged on the 24th of October, and we think that we'll be moving during the first week of November. Nothing is for sure though, except for the location of our move, what Nate will be flying, and the winging date. We'll get the details of our move sometime early next week.
So for now, I'm signing off. (Ahem). A Florida gal for now, but a California gal in the near future. And I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

You are about to become a "Cally-Wacker"!! ha ha, just kidding, my best high school friend lives in San Diego & LOVES that place (ex Florida girl)... so happy for you, change is GOOD and you still have an ocean at your finger tips!

AHHHHH!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it- that is awesome! That is such great news. You will love the weather and the training in all the sunshine and I couldn't be happier for you Marit! I am soooo coming to visit. Yes, I just invited myself. Yep, you saw it here first, I am the FIRST one to invite myself and I do not care.

Nate - some of my buddies are at 29 Palms and Pendelton. Pendelton guys are coming back from over seas soon.
i'm SO psyched that you guys get to go where you truly wanted to be. : )
and psyched for me that this means (hopefully?) we can periodically make the drive to train together.

I live down near Balboa Park--there are a lot of Tri Club San Diego rides/track/swims that happen up in North County so you are ALL set!!

Congratulations. San Diego should be great and the UH-1Y looks cool. I've heard that San Diego is the second best place in the country for training.

OMG - I am NOW just reading this.....WOOOOOHOOOO! I am SUPER EXCITED for you guys!! This is AWESOME! We will finally get to meet up and do some training together. Well, a 7 or 8 hour drive isnt so bad now is it? We will definitely hook up! YAY!! SO HAPPY NOW!
