It just hit!
The fear. Oh my God - I'm racing the Hawaii Ironman. And it's only ______ weeks away?
Wait! Do me a favor and don't answer that. Ignorance is bliss after all. I'll just leave the planning up to Jen, and wait until the magical date of October 10 pops up in my Training Peaks window.
Suffice to say, this is the furthest out that I've ever gotten pre-race jitters. Luckily they're small, and its only a few bathroom-inducing twinges. But in a few weeks, all bets are OFF.

Don't worry Marit you are NOT the only one!! All the local athletes who are racing Hawaii have been nervous for the past few weeks and a lot of them have been struggling with injuries. You are such a stud and I love following along through your amazing progression!!! I can't wait to e-spectate Kona and watch you kick butt :-)
I'm already nervous too. I mean, I don't think CDA went that well. There's so many to juggle and I just don't have a good strategy set out. I will keep working on it and hopefully for race day everything will just fall together.
Oh no need to be nervous yet. You will do great - I believe in you.
Just relax Marit, its only the most prestigious, important, traditioned, competitive, race in the triathlon world...nuthin' to worry about.
Sorry, just couldn't resist.
when I saw your title- I knew you were going to saw Hawaii!!!!! You are going to have soooooooooo much fun! I can't wait to hear how much fun you have! Fun, Fun fun!!!! and, a Hawaii Ironman Medal...now that is awesome!!!!
And you are so totally gonna ROCK! One day at a time, one workout at a time, and you'll be ready.
i can only imagine how exciting and nervewracking it is!!! but you will do GREAT! you are in great hands with jen :)

If you would have told me the sushi sux so bad here I would have turned left onto I-10. It is so bad here that I have been making my own every week. Much easier than you would think, just a lot of prep time but then WATCHOUT because it is sushi overload.
2 comments on one post in one day...I'm not a stalker it is just sucky rainy weather and the pool won't open for another couple of hours until the lightning goes away.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You can handle this girl! ( I know you can) Just think of how far you have come and how much worse things you have been through in the past! This should be the fun part :)
