Turkey Pan?

Turkey Pan or New Cat Bed?

Good questoin!

You decide.

We actually keep Anabelle in the Turkey baster as a safety percaution. We don't want her to walk, or hobble off, and because the sides of the pan are a few inches high, she can't get her popsicle stick legs over the top. Nathaniel has taken to calling her "Captain Pegleg", and has threatened to give her an eye patch, a fake hoop earring, and a Jolly Rodger Flag.

But I think that's a bit over the top, don't you?

There is one in this household, however, who is not enjoying Mini Monster's presence.

And that's the House Monster.
(Tabbitha and her "death glare", which she reserves for All Things Little And Cute, friends, family, and in-laws. Note the heckles. True to form, she's a bit riled up. But handeling herself well. We were only attacked 3 times on this particular day. Sweet!)

And finally, proof that the two CAN be within three feet of each other. Note the books and flight study material. Gotta hand it to Nathaniel: flight student + new cat Dad = lots and lots on the agenda.

For the record, we have started placing Anabelle under my writing lamp, as it gives out an insane amount of heat. It also worked as a great dryer today: the Mini Monster dropped a bomb on the carpet and then promptly sat in it. So she was the Mini Big Stinky Monster, and got a subsequent bath. As a little kitty, Tabbitha loved the water and enjoyed getting baths. Not so much with the second.

And there you have it: after five yeras of marriage, Nathaniel and I are the proud parents of two kitties. I talk to them when no one is around, and Nathaniel is plotting on turning our turkey basting pan into a pirate ship for our popsicle-legged kitty.

Just goes to show, you think you know the person that you married, and one day they start wanting to dress up the cat. Then again, I'm no better, as I gave the thing a bath. We just need to make sure that Tabbith never gets ahold of the turkey baster or meat thermomitor. THAT could be dangerous.

Oops... too late.

Just don't put the kitty in the oven. I wonder how that dynamic between the cats will change when Anabelle gets her casts off and can RUN!

I love the idea of a jolly rodger flag in the turkey pan! Put on a little, "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me!" in the background and I'm going to loose it.

Poor cat!
